What's included in the box?

How many fires can I start with this kit?
Hundreds, potentially thousands depending on how you use it. Fatwood can be shaved in tiny amounts, Waxed Jute can be cut into sections, and Magic Cotton provides long burn time per piece. Used efficiently, the kit lasts far beyond its size.

Which tinder should I use first?
Magic Cotton is the easiest and most reliable for instant ignition. Waxed Jute gives a longer, steadier flame, and Fatwood is perfect for intense, hot ignition and sustained fire building. Each one covers a different scenario.

Is this kit suitable for bad weather?
Yes. All included materials are selected for wet, cold and windy conditions. Fatwood and Waxed Jute perform especially well in damp environments, while Magic Cotton ensures the fastest possible ignition.

Can I use it without a ferro rod?
Yes. All three tinder types can be lit directly with a lighter or other source of spark.

Step 1 — Choose your tinder
Select Fatwood, Waxed Jute or Magic Cotton depending on conditions. For easiest ignition, start with Magic Cotton. For longer burn, use Waxed Jute. For strong flame base, use Fatwood shavings.

Step 2 — Prepare and ignite
Fluff, shave or cut your chosen tinder to expose fibers or fine shavings. Place your ferro rod close and strike firmly, directing sparks into the material.

Step 3 — Build your fire
Once ignited, feed the flame with small sticks and gradually increase fuel size until your fire is fully established.
