Our custom Opinel No. 8 knives begin as brand new originals that we modify and finish by hand in our workshop. Each handle is made from beech wood and treated with our signature blend of natural walnut stain and beeswax. This creates a smooth, beautiful and durable finish that feels incredible in the hand and only gets better with use. If you take proper care of it, it will last a lifetime.

You can choose between stainless steel or classic carbon steel. We sharpen every blade by hand on Japanese water stones to achieve a razor sharp edge with exceptional cutting performance.

Each knife includes a 60 cm lanyard made from Type III 550 paracord. Inside the cord you will find a red strand of tinder cord and fishing line, making it a functional survival tool as well as a carry accessory. The lanyard is finished with a pure brass spiral that will not rust and adds a unique touch to the knife.
